The name of the candidate from the opposition Republic party for prime minister position in the impeachment process of the current Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has been announced, Hraparak newspaper published, APA reports citing Armenpress.
It was reported that the opposition Republic party is preparing to nominate Armen Ashotyan.
The newspaper also wrote that his name will be officially announced to the public in the coming days.
According to the publication, until recently, the mentioned political organization supported the candidacy of the former head of the country's National Security Service, Artur Vanetsyan, but later changed its decision.
It should be noted that the leader of the mentioned party is Serzh Sargsyan, who served as the Minister of Defense, Minister of National Security, President and Head of Government of Armenia in various years.
