Armenia's ruling "Civil Contract" party is preparing for snap parliamentary elections, sources within the ruling party said, APA reports.
It was noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has discussed this matter with his close associates.
The Iravunk newspaper reported that the head of government has instructed his party members to hold power in any potential "force majeure" situations.
"He even stated that, in the worst-case scenario, he himself would lead the election list. Members of the ruling party have expressed surprise at this news. The main concern for them right now is whom Pashinyan will sacrifice this time," the article said.
