The Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko, will visit Yerevan,the press service of the Federation Council said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
It was reported that Matviyenko will visit Yerevan to give a new impetus to the Russia-Armenia interstate relations.
Sputnikarmenia has written that a phone conversation took place between the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, and Matviyenko. It was reported that the parliamentary speakers discussed the expected visit of the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia to Yerevan. In addition, the issues of cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the CIS Parliamentary Assembly and other platforms were also discussed.
