Mass poisoning from drinking water has occurred in Dagestan’s Magaramkent district, which borders Azerbaijan, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
The number of people who contracted dysentery from the water has reached 372, of whom 357 are children.
It has been reported that 23 children have already been discharged from the hospital for outpatient treatment, while 97 people remain hospitalized.
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Dagestan has announced the detention of the director of the Magaramkent district municipal housing and utilities enterprise. He is suspected of providing hazardous services.
