A man who was on the wanted list in the Rostov region blew himself up with a grenade, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement, APA reports, citing Russian media.
According to the report, the location of the man, who was on the federal wanted list, was identified in the village of Nikolayevka near Taganrog. During the arrest, he resisted and detonated a grenade. The 45-year-old man died at the scene, while two police officers were injured.
He had been wanted on charges of desertion.
