A magnitude 2.8 earthquake struck northern Armenia on Thursday, the Rescue Service of the Interior Ministry reported, Panorama.am reports.
The quake was recorded at 12:17 p.m. local time (0817 GMT), with its epicenter 3 km southeast of the village of Shoghakat in Gegharkunik Province, at a depth of 10 km.
The tremor registered 3-4 on the local intensity scale in the epicentral area and was felt at the same intensity in the villages of Shoghakat, Artanish, Drakhtik and Jil.
