Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned the American delegation during talks that the war in Venezuela could become a new Vietnam for the United States, in conversation with Belarusian Permanent Representative to the UN Valentin Rybakov, APA reports.
"The President of Belarus spoke very frankly with the American delegation [today] on this topic and warned that drawing America into such a war would simply mean a repeat of Vietnam for America, which is of no interest to anyone and is of no use to the American people, the Venezuelan people, and especially not to the entire international community," he said in an interview with the First Information TV channel .
