The “Oreshnik” missile system has already begun combat duty on the territory of Belarus, said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during his address to the nation and parliament, APA reports.

The Belarusian leader also noted that tactical nuclear weapons have been deployed in the republic.

It should be noted that the “Oreshnik” is a high-precision weapon and a mobile ground-based missile system capable of striking targets throughout Europe. “Oreshnik” missiles attack targets at a speed of Mach 10, which is equivalent to 2.5–3 km per second. It is reported that there are currently no means or air defense systems in the world capable of intercepting the “Oreshnik.”
