Belarus will never betray Russia, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said, APA reports.
According to him, despite certain aspects of the conflict in Ukraine, Minsk “will never allow Russians to be stabbed in the back.”
“Yes, I have my own understanding of certain aspects of the conflict, but we will always remain committed to our common course. If the Russian leadership makes a decision, despite our understanding of what is happening there, we will always stand with you. We have never been traitors,” Lukashenko said.
He made the remarks in Minsk during a meeting with heads of government delegations participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
