Two major fires have been recorded in the Rostov Region. A warehouse of building materials caught fire in Aksay, and despite the efforts of firefighters, the fire quickly spread to nearby private homes due to strong winds. The fire has been given a higher level of complexity, which underlines its scale and danger, APA reports citing Avia-Pro.
The second fire broke out in the SNT "Zadonje", located on the outskirts of Rostov-on-Don. The fire quickly spread, capturing two neighboring gardening associations. Local residents, without waiting for the arrival of rescuers, are trying to fight the fire themselves, using improvised means. However, due to the wind and dense development, the fires quickly engulf new areas, which complicates their extinguishing.
At the moment, several dozen fires have been registered in the Rostov Region, which causes serious concerns among local authorities and residents of the region. In a number of areas, the situation is complicated by a lack of firefighting resources, as significant forces are already involved in extinguishing large fires.
The causes of the fires are still unknown, but their widespread nature raises questions. What is particularly alarming is that large-scale fires began shortly after information appeared about the use of flamethrower drones by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
