The West's reaction to the presidential elections in Belarus was predictable, Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov said, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, Putin congratulated Lukashenko with the occassion of his confident victory in the elections and the successful conduct of the elections: "We all join in these congratulations. We rejoice in the successes of our allies. We believe that these were fully legitimate, well-organized, transparent elections, resulting in a confident victory for the current head of state. As for the voices from the West, this is quite predictable. We do not consider it possible to take them into account," Peskov emphasized.
