The Russian side will not disclose the essence of the new proposals on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio “for known reasons,” said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
“For known reasons, I cannot speak about the proposals of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin spokesperson said in response to a question regarding the nature of Russia’s initiatives to the U.S.
Note that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken about the new proposals from the Russian Federation. However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in his conversation with journalists, did not disclose the content of those proposals, instead suggesting they “expect big surprises.”
