The recent tension in the Gaza Strip causes concern in Russia, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, the Kremlin expects the situation to return to a peaceful course.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and, of course, expect it to return to a peaceful course," said the Kremlin spokesperson when commenting on Moscow's reaction to the Israeli Air Force's attacks on the Gaza Strip.
It should be noted that on March 18, the Israeli army reported launching large-scale strikes on targets of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
