The attack on the residence of the Russian president in the Novgorod region is aimed at disrupting Trump's efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, after the attack on the presidential residence, Russia will toughen its negotiating position on Ukraine.

The Kremlin spokesman stressed that Putin and Trump continue their trusting dialogue and Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process.

Peskov refused to answer the question about Putin's whereabouts during the attack on his residence in the Novgorod region: "This topic is not a subject of any public discussion."

The Kremlin spokesperson said that Moscow’s response to Ukraine’s attempt to attack the presidential residence will be carried out by the military.

“Russian military personnel know how, with what means, and when to respond,” the Kremlin official said.
