The leaders of Germany and France may call the Russian president, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the Russian president has not refused direct contacts.
Peskov said that Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz can simply call Putin; he has never refused direct contact.
The Kremlin official also commented on the statement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he would not go to Moscow. He added that this is nothing new, and Putin's position on the meeting place remains unchanged.
