Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed about the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, Chief of the Operational Readiness Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, said Kremlin's official representative Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, the special services immediately report everything to the president.
Note that a car was blown up in the south of Moscow this morning. As a result, the driver died from shrapnel wounds. It turned out that the head of the department of the General Staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov, was blown up in the car.
It was reported that a homemade explosive device was placed under the seat of his car.
