“Information regarding the attempted assassination of Russian Ministry of Defense Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev is being reported to President Vladimir Putin,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“The security services are currently doing their work and, of course, reporting to the president,” the Kremlin spokesperson emphasized.
Note that the attempted assassination of Vladimir Alekseyev, First Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Russian Armed Forces, occurred in northwestern Moscow. An unknown individual shot him. The wounded general has been hospitalized.
