Kremlin: Russian President is open to contacts to move towards a 'peace trajectory'

The main message of the President's address is that the West's recklessness will not go unanswered by Russia," said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov while discussing President Vladimir Putin's address to the nation yesterday, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

According to Peskov, Putin's statements made the previous day were comprehensive, understandable, and logical: "Putin emphasized that he is open to contacts to move towards a 'peace trajectory.' The current U.S. administration prefers to escalate the conflict in Ukraine carelessly. The Kremlin does not doubt that the current U.S. administration is aware of Putin's statements."

Peskov also noted the lack of new contacts between Putin and the current U.S. administration.

Additionally, Peskov mentioned that Russian military personnel are working on the nuances of warning the civilian population in Ukraine about potential strikes using the "Oreshnik" system.
