Russia has not received any message from India about refusing to buy Russian oil, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“Of course, we are closely monitoring these statements. We take Trump’s statements seriously. We analyze them thoroughly. We respect the US-India bilateral relations. We attach no less importance to the strategic partnership between Russia and India. This is very important to us. So far, we have not heard any statement on this from New Delhi,” the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
Note that US President Donald Trump, after a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that New Delhi was abandoning Russian oil in favor of buying American and possibly Venezuelan oil.
