Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed efforts to find a peace formula on Ukraine without Russia taking part as absurd, APA reports citing TASS.
"Efforts are being made to find a peace formula without involving Russia. This process is at least absurd. But seriously, this is a process that does not have the potential to yield any results," Peskov told reporters.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky told a news conference that the topic of peace negotiations with Russia was not relevant.
"We really believe that the topic of talks is irrelevant now. We have repeatedly said that there is no basis for these talks. No foundation or prerequisites for such negotiations are in place," the Russian presidential spokesman said.
