The Kremlin has responded to US President Donald Trump's threat to impose tough sanctions on Russia if an agreement is not reached with Ukraine within 50 days, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Trump's statement very serious.
"The US President's statement is quite serious, something in it is addressed personally to President Putin. Of course, we need time to analyze what was said in Washington. If President Putin considers it necessary, he will definitely comment on it. I would not like to rush ahead, and let's wait for Putin's decision on whether he will comment on this himself," the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.
