Kremlin reacted to Lithuania's claims to territories of Russia

Lithuania's territorial claims to Russia fully justify all Moscow's security measures, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said while commenting on the recent statements of the head of the Baltic state Gitanas Nauseda about Kaliningrad, APA reports citing Pravda.

The day before, the Lithuanian president made unequivocal claims to Kaliningrad. He stated that the city is supposedly the historical territory of the Baltic state. Therefore, it must have an appropriate Lithuanian name.

However, Peskov indicated that such statements are quite expected. Lithuania is an unfriendly and hostile state for Russia.

"This justifies our deep concerns and justifies all current and future measures to ensure the security of our state," the Kremlin spokesman said.
