The Kremlin has not received any request from American financier Jeffrey Epstein to meet with President Vladimir Putin, said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, in response to an inquiry from RTVI, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Note that Putin’s name appears repeatedly in Epstein’s documents, mainly in news articles exchanged among the financier’s interlocutors. His emails also indicate that he tried several times to meet Putin, including in 2011 and 2014, but was unsuccessful.
At the end of January, the US Department of Justice published more than 3 million pages of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, as well as over 2,000 videos and 180,000 photographs. Some materials, including the personal data of victims, were redacted.
