The issue of lifting US sanctions against Russia’s oil exports was not discussed in detail during the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“No, this topic was not discussed in detail in any way,” the Kremlin spokesperson emphasized.
At the same time, Peskov noted that the consequences of sanctions for the global economy are well known to everyone, both Trump and Putin: “Of course, the steps taken by the United States — namely oil restrictions — are related to attempts to stabilize global energy markets amid the situation in the Persian Gulf.”
