The Kremlin may make adjustments to this year’s Victory Day events, APA reports, citing the Nezygar Telegram channel.

The changes could include the complete cancellation of the parade or holding it in a shortened format of 30–40 minutes. It was stated that the reason for this is security concerns and high risks related to the redeployment of parade participants and military equipment.

According to military correspondents, the parade may be held in a non-standard, essentially shortened format.

“For example, T-34 tanks will pass, and the orchestra, Suvorov cadets, and Vityaz special forces will march, etc.,” the statement said.

Former pilot Ilya Tumanov said on Solovyov Live that Russian authorities have canceled the aviation part of the Victory Day parade in Moscow and St. Petersburg and are considering postponing or canceling the ground part as well.

He emphasized that, as in 2020, he assumes the parade may be held on another date. Tumanov believes that the reason for the possible cancellation is Ukraine’s long-range missiles.
