Moscow expects Astana to provide additional information on reports about the alleged opening of a NATO peacekeeping center, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, APA reports citing TASS.
"We have to collect more detailed information. Peacekeeping missions have their specifics, and Kazakh troops are partaking in missions across the globe," Peskov maintained. Certainly, we expect to obtain additional information from our friends in Astana," he said.
Note that the Kazakh Defense Ministry had refuted reports saying that a new NATO peacekeeping operations center had opened in the republic. The Ministry said that a new conference hall of its Peacekeeping Operations Center officially opened in Astana with US Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum attending.
