Armenia's accession to the European Union is its sovereign right, but it is impossible to be a member of two different organizations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said while commenting on the Armenian government's approval of a draft decision on the start of the country's EU membership process, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
"What does this EU membership mean? It is difficult to say this right now, because, of course, it is impossible to be a member of two different organizations, hypothetically speaking. Of course, this is Armenia's sovereign right. We know that membership in the Eurasian Economic Union is beneficial," the Kremlin official said, explaining Moscow's position.
