Kremlin confirms planned meeting of US and Russian officials in Miami

Russia is preparing contacts with the US side, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said while commenting on the Axios publication's report on a possible meeting between Russian and US representatives in Miami, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, the Russian side is preparing certain contacts with the US in order to obtain information about the results of the work carried out by the Americans with the Europeans and Ukrainians.

Note that the American news portal Axios previously announced citing sources that the US is planning to hold contacts not only with the Ukrainian delegation but also with Russian representatives in Miami (Florida) this week. According to media reports, US President Donald Trump's representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner plan to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriyev.
