The Kremlin is concerned about the deterioration of relations between India and Pakistan, said Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
He mentioned that official Moscow hopes that Islamabad and New Delhi will be able to reduce tensions.
"We hope that the parties will take measures to reduce the level of tension at the border and will be able to agree on these measures. Of course, we are closely monitoring the tense atmosphere that has arisen at the border between India and Pakistan with great concern. India is our strategic partner, and Pakistan is also our partner in many issues. We highly value our relations with both New Delhi and Islamabad," Peskov emphasized.
