The Kremlin commented on the talks held by the Russian delegation with the new Syrian authorities, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the visit of the Russian delegation to Syria important: "This is an important visit. This is an important contact. It is necessary to establish a constant dialogue and maintain contact with the Syrian authorities, which we are doing and will continue to do."
Note that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and the President's Special Envoy on Syria Alexander Lavrentiev visited Damascus and met with the new Syrian leadership.
