Russia hopes the North–South International Transport Corridor project will continue and be implemented, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said while answering a question about the project’s progress and whether there is a risk of its suspension due to the conflict in the Middle East, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, significant work has already been carried out on the project.
“It is clear that at the moment this project cannot be implemented from Iran’s perspective. However, when it comes to the interests of the group of regional states and, of course, our interests, Russia is interested in this project. We hope that the implementation of this project will continue,” he said.
