Kremlin reacts on Zelenskyy's statement

Kremlin comments on Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky's statements about his unwillingness to make any territorial concessions, APA reports citing TASS.

Peskov: "Zelenskyy is unwilling to recognize the true state of affairs.."

When asked to clarify the Kremlin's assessment of Zelensky's statements, Peskov responded that Russia views them as an "unwillingness to recognize the true state of affairs on the ground."

"Russian [President Vladimir] Putin has repeatedly stated that any discussions based on the Istanbul agreements must take into account the new realities on the ground. Only a blind person would fail to see this, and only a deaf person would fail to hear it," the Kremlin spokesman said.

Trump-Zelenskyy dispute and Putin's reaction

Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of all the nuances of the dispute between US leader Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and has taken them into account, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Undoubtedly, the president is familiar with the essence of what happened. Especially since it was available in nuances to the entire world community. So, of course, the president knows all the nuances. He has taken into account what has happened," the spokesman said.

Kremlin says that Ukraine is not ready for negotiations

The Kremlin spokesperson also spoke about the Russian president's reaction to the Trump-Zelensky dispute: "The president has taken note of what happened. In general, Russia has once again become convinced that Putin is right. Despite Russia's openness to the negotiation process, we fully saw in Washington that these goodwill efforts are opposed by Ukraine's unwillingness to maintain such dynamics."
