Statements about having a lookalike of Russian President Vladimir Putin are false; the president has always been active and continues to be active; he is not sitting in a bunker, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Kremlin, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
"We've heard that while Putin is in the bunker, he has a slew of look-alikes working for him. This is yet another lie. You can see what kind of president we have. He is, in reality, extremely active. We, who work with him, struggle to keep up with him. We can only envy his energy. He wasn't sitting in a bunker, of course. That, too, is a falsehood," said the Kremlin spokesman in his speech at the "Knowledge. First" educational marathon.
He went on to say that individuals now live in a world where information flows extremely quickly. If you do not remark on what happened "with your boss, the president" in a timely manner, he claims, "others can make this comment."
