Service for Citizenship and Registration of Foreign Citizens established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs will help to simplify migration processes and reduce illegal activities in Russia, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing today, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, this will allow for more effective resolution of migration-related issues, increase the dynamics of this work, and improve coordination between organizations.
"Of course, the main task is to simplify migration processes, enforce Russian laws, and reduce illegal activities," the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.
Note that a new state service for migrants has been created in Russia. Based on a Order by President Vladimir Putin, Service for Citizenship and Registration of Foreign Citizens has been established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Deputy Attorney General Andrey Kikot has been appointed as the first deputy minister of internal affairs and head of the Service for Registration of Foreign Citizens .
