No one can beg Armenia to remain in the Eurasian Economic Union, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, clarification is needed regarding Armenia’s activities within the union.
The Kremlin spokesman also said that the agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union Council is complicated due to the situation related to Armenia.
“The current summit will not determine Armenia’s fate. Yerevan will continue to participate in the events of the Eurasian Economic Union. Armenia’s dividends from the Eurasian Economic Union are ensured, but it is unclear whether this will happen in the European Union. Armenia’s actions should not hinder the integration of others.”
Peskov also said that no contacts are currently planned between Putin and Pashinyan.
