A $1 billion donation to the Board of Peace will require the unblocking of Russia's assets in the United States, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, this amount should be used for the reconstruction of Palestine.
He noted that how the donation will be legally formalized "is still unclear."
Peskov assured that the readiness to donate $1 billion to the "Board of Peace" does not mean that Russia has lost hope of recovering the frozen assets.
The Kremlin official stressed that Moscow will continue the struggle and will continue to defend its rights.
Note that yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country was ready to allocate $1 billion from frozen assets to the Board of Peace.
