President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greeted Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz at the presidential palace Akorda, APA reports citing Kazinform News Agency.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was officially welcomed to Akorda by a guard of honour, with the presidential orchestra performing the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Germany.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Olaf Scholz walked down the carpet to the national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after which they started a private meeting.
It is expected that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is to take part in the second Summit “Central Asia + Germany,” set to discuss strategic cooperation and partnership in a wide range of areas, including trade and economic interaction and realization of joint investment projects.
