The head of the International Relations Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Grigory Karasin, commented on the statement by Armenian parliamentarian Lusine Badalyan regarding the possible shutdown of Russian channels in the country, Karasin stated on his Telegram channel, APA reports.
"I was surprised by the strange statement from an Armenian parliamentarian. To put it bluntly, it's quite absurd. I don't know if this is an anti-Russian inclination or an attempt to gain political dividends? I'm sure such things won't find support in Armenia, and they won't shake the deep-rooted friendship between our peoples due to certain political circumstances," he stated.
Karasin recalled that the issue of broadcasting Armenian channels was thoroughly discussed at the Russia-Armenia Media Forum held in September. The progress of this matter is being closely monitored.
