The volume of the "gas for electricity" barter agreement concluded between Iran and Armenia has been expanded and its term has been extended until 2030, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
The relevant document was signed by the Head of Yerevan Power Plant CJSC Aram Ghazaryan and CEO of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Chegeni.
Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan called the agreement profitable, as it opens opportunities for the increase of Iranian gas imports and Armenia's electricity exports.
