The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine opened a new case against the former President of the country, Petro Poroshenko, about embezzlement in the army. This was announced by lawyer Andrei Portnov in his Telegram-channel, APA reports citing Tellerreport.
According to him, this criminal proceedings can "cover" dozens of people from the environment of the politician.
Portnov noted that the ex-head of the National Bank Valery Gontareva and officials of the Ukroboronprom are also taking place in this case.
They allegedly organized multimillion-dollar currency transfers to offshore and other jurisdictions directly from the group under fictitious contracts.
