In Sumy, three drivers of "Nova Poshta" were killed in a Russian drone attack, reported on Saturday the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov on social media, UNN writes.
A strike by a Russian jet-powered UAV on Sumy claimed the lives of three people – drivers of "Nova Poshta". The Russians deliberately struck a civilian facility where people were present and working- reported Hryhorov.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, a large-scale fire broke out at the impact site. Due to the threat of repeated attacks, rescuers could not work fully and quickly eliminate the consequences of the strike.
As indicated by the State Emergency Service, the Russians targeted civilian infrastructure and near a residential area. Cars and non-residential buildings were burning. Rescuers worked at several locations simultaneously. Due to constant risks of repeated Russian strikes, they had to retreat to safe places each time, and then return again to extinguishing.
"At the epicenter of the strike, the bodies of two victims were found. Another man with extremely severe injuries was evacuated from the strike site by police. On the way to the hospital, he died. The victims were 43, 53, and 48 years old," - indicated Hryhorov.
