Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on military service, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to the new law, convicts may be released early after signing a service contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
In addition, convicted and disabled persons will be able to sign a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Putin signed a law establishing legal guarantees and grounds for the exemption from criminal liability of persons who have signed a contract for mobilization, martial law or wartime service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The age limit for contract service during the war was raised to 70 years.
