Identity of suspect in attempted arson attack on Armenia’s NSS building revealed -VIDEO -UPDATED

A video has circulated online showing an unknown individual attempting to set fire to the building of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia a few hours ago, APA reports.

A suspect in the crime was later detained and taken to a pre-trial detention facility.

Armenian media reported that the individual had recently arrived in Armenia from Russia and is a supporter of the well-known billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, nicknamed “Tashir Samo,” who is known in both Russia and Armenia.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

A video has been circulating online showing a man throwing a Molotov cocktail at the building of the National Security Service in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, APA reports.

Interior Ministry spokesman Narek Sargsyan said the suspect has been detained and handed over for investigation.
