The head of Gagauzia, Eugenia Gutsul, was detained at the Chisinau airport for additional inspection without explanation, APA reports citing Perviy v Moldova TV channel.
"The Bashkan (head - TASS note) of Gagauzia Evgenia Gutsul was detained at the Chisinau airport for additional inspection without explanation," the statement said. It specified that airport and border police officers began an inspection after Gutsul's arrival from Istanbul without providing any explanation.
Later, the TV channel reported that Hutsul was allowed into the country.
