Members of the organization known as the “Followers of the Batal-Haji Belkhoroyev movement” have been detained in Moscow, Ingushetia, and Chechnya, the Public Relations Center of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said in a statement, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
According to the statement, a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials was seized from members of the group.
Note that the Batal-Haji Belkhoroyev sect was founded in the 1870s by the Ingush religious figure Batal-Haji Belkhoroyev. The organization “Followers of the Batal-Haji Belkhoroyev movement” is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and is banned.
