Former member of Armenia's ruling party accused of disclosing state secrets

Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the Armenian Parliament and a former member of the ruling Civil Contract party, is accused of disclosing state secrets, the country's Anti-Corruption Committee released information, APA reports citing Sputnik-Armenia.

It was reported that the investigation is ongoing into three separate criminal cases, including the most recent accusation. Aghazaryan is accused of illegally exporting small cattle to the UAE, as well as unlawfully intervening in the confiscation of vehicles belonging to his son.

However, it has not been disclosed which state secret he allegedly revealed.

Note that he was expelled from the ruling party on December 5.
