Flooding in Dagestan has left 60,000 people without electricity, APA's Russia bureau reports.
Heavy rains have also affected the cities of Makhachkala, Derbent, and Dagestanskiye Ogni.
In Makhachkala, floodwaters inundated areas where private residential houses are located. It is reported that approximately 20 houses were submerged.
The floodwaters also swept away cars on the streets.
Including Makhachkala, fourteen districts of Dagestan were left without electricity. Rescuers are reported to be evacuating people by boat.
