A case of monkeypox infection has been registered in Moscow, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
The patient contracted the virus inside the country and is currently isolated at Moscow’s Domodedovo hospital.
A man who had contact with the patient has also been hospitalized with similar symptoms, but the diagnosis has not yet been confirmed.
Meanwhile, contact has been lost with a third person who was in contact with the infected man. A search is currently underway in the Moscow region for the third individual suspected of having contracted monkeypox.
