A fire broke out in a residential building in central Moscow, leaving three people dead and four injured, the Main Investigative Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee for Moscow stated, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
The preliminary cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.
A law enforcement source said the fire started due to smoking in the apartment.
It was reported that circus artist Yevgeny Chernov fell asleep while smoking in a chair at home, which led to the incident.
