A fire broke out in a 1,000-square-meter metal-frame building on Vernisazhnaya Street in Moscow. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations press service told TASS.
"The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Moscow received a report of a fire at 6 Vernisazhnaya Street. The fire is located in a metal-frame building covering an area of 200 square meters," the statement reads.
The press service also noted that fire and rescue units are working at the scene.
According to open sources, the "Stalin's Bunker" memorial complex is located at this address in Izmailovo.
Later, the department reported that the fire's area had grown to 1,000 square meters.
"Five people have been rescued. More than 100 people and 30 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire. Two helicopters from the Moscow Aviation Center have been put on standby," the statement said.
The fire has been assigned a third-level complexity rating, emergency services reported.
